Emergency Air Conditioning Repair Sydney CBD
Unit dead in a city apartment or office and you cannot wait? Call any hour and a real person answers. We deal with strata managers and building access every day, so lift bookings and after-hours entry do not stall the repair. In most cases a licensed technician is with you the same day or first thing the next morning, at a fixed call-out price you know before we leave.
24/7 Emergency Service —
City Buildings Do Not Break Down During Business Hours
A split system that quits on a humid February night, a VRF head unit that stops before a Monday open, a ducted unit dripping through a ceiling into the apartment below. None of it waits for a service window. Our line is staffed around the clock by a person who takes the details, checks what building access you need and dispatches a licensed technician who works on high-rise systems every week.

What Counts as an Air Conditioning Emergency in the City?
Anything that threatens safety or property. An electrical burning smell from the indoor unit, a system tripping the switchboard repeatedly, a suspected refrigerant leak in a sealed apartment, or water escaping a ducted unit into the ceiling. In a strata building that last one gets expensive fast, because the water rarely stops at your floor.
Comfort failures are real emergencies too. Plenty of city apartments have fixed glazing and windows that only open a few centimetres, so when the cooling stops on a 38 degree day there is no way to get air moving. If there is a baby in the flat, someone older, or anyone with a heart or respiratory condition, say so when you call and we will book you accordingly.
Some faults can genuinely hold a day or two. A rattle you have heard for weeks, airflow that has slowly dropped off, one room never quite getting there, a controller that has lost pairing. Still worth booking, because small faults become breakdowns, but you are not in trouble tonight. If you cannot tell which one you have, describe it on the phone and we will tell you straight.
If you can smell gas, or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, or anyone has a headache, nausea or unusual drowsiness that eases outdoors: turn the appliance off, open what windows you can, and get everyone into fresh air and out of the building if needed. Call 000 if anyone is unwell, and your state gas emergency line for a suspected leak. Do not use the appliance again until it is checked. Then call us on 1300 730 896.

What should I do while I wait for the technician?
If the unit is smoking, sparking or leaking, switch it off at the wall. Do not keep resetting a tripped breaker, because it tripped for a reason. Put a bucket and towels under any drip and move electronics clear, especially in an apartment where water can reach the unit below. In the heat, close blinds on west-facing glass and stay hydrated. Have the brand, model and any controller error code ready.
How fast can you get to a Sydney CBD address?
Our booking line is answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year. We have technicians based across inner Sydney, so same day or first thing next morning is the usual outcome in the CBD. Traffic and building access affect timing more than distance here, which is why we ask about loading dock hours and lift bookings up front rather than guessing.
Can you get into my building after hours?
Usually yes, and this is where a lot of city jobs stall with other companies. Tell us the building name, whether there is a concierge, and whether the lift needs booking for tradespeople. We will contact your strata or building manager directly if that speeds things up. If a service lift cannot be released until morning, we will tell you honestly rather than send someone who gets turned away at the door.
Is an emergency callout more expensive?
You pay a fixed call-out fee covering travel, diagnosis and a full assessment of the fault, and you are told the exact figure before we book you in. No hidden charges, no surprise invoice. Parts and any additional work are quoted in writing and approved by you before a technician starts.
Do you work on VRF and VRV systems in commercial buildings?
Yes. We service ducted, multi-head, VRF and VRV systems across offices, retail tenancies and residential towers throughout the CBD. Tell us the brand and roughly how many indoor units are affected when you call, because that changes which technician we send and what parts they carry.
Which brands do you repair?
All of the major ones sold in Australia, including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, ActronAir, Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Toshiba, Rinnai and Brivis. We are authorised service agents for the main brands, so warranty work is handled properly rather than voided.

"Extremely helpful staff!!! My reverse cycle split system stopped working suddenly (of course when I needed it most), and the staff talked me through the process. They sent a technician the very next day. He was friendly, efficient, had extra parts on hand to fix the problem there and then, and didn't even leave a mess. Great value for money!"

"Joshua is an absolute credit to the company. He patiently explained the options and the fees upfront. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and informed me the repair was covered under warranty and that he wasn't an approved Panasonic repairer. His honesty saved me a significant amount of money in a voided warranty."

"I experienced a wonderful professional service from the company and the two technicians that installed my new system within several days. The time lag was mostly as a result of organising finances and reconciling details with my insurance company. I would not hesitate in recommending Quick Air to anyone."

"I couldn't choose quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, or punctuality as my most liked thing about Quick Air. I cannot give a negative answer on any of them as all my expectations were met. The technician was most knowledgeable and the patience and guidance given to his apprentice was outstanding. I will recommend this company to my friends without any hesitation."
