24/7 Emergency Service —
Emergency Heating and Cooling Repairs Across Geelong
Geelong gets both ends of it. Cold, damp winters where a heating failure is felt immediately in an older weatherboard, and dry northerly heat in summer that pushes systems past what they were sized for. A lot of homes here still run ducted gas heating that is well past its intended service life. Our line is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What Counts as an Emergency?
Any fault that risks health or property. A gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm, an electrical or burning smell from the unit, a system tripping the switchboard, or water pouring out of an indoor unit. With older gas heaters the carbon monoxide risk is real, and a cracked heat exchanger gives very little warning before it becomes dangerous.
Total failure in extreme weather is also urgent. Geelong winters are properly cold and older weatherboard homes lose heat fast, which matters a great deal for a newborn, an elderly resident, or anyone with a respiratory or cardiac condition. Summer works the same way when a northerly pushes the temperature past 40. Tell us who is in the house.
Some things can wait a couple of days. Weak airflow from a few outlets, a rattle in the roof, one room that never comes up to temperature, a thermostat that has lost its settings. Book them in before the season turns rather than during it. If you cannot tell whether yours is urgent, ring and describe it and we will be honest about it.
If you can smell gas, or a carbon monoxide alarm has sounded, or anyone in the house has a headache, nausea or unusual drowsiness that eases when they go outside: turn the appliance off, open windows and doors, and get everyone into fresh air. Call 000 if anyone is unwell, and your state gas emergency line for a suspected gas leak. Do not use the appliance again until it has been checked. Then call us on 1300 730 896.

How often should a gas ducted heater be serviced?
Every two years is the standard advice in Victoria, including a carbon monoxide test. Older units with cracked heat exchangers are exactly what that testing is for, and you cannot smell carbon monoxide. If your heater has not been checked in several years and it is over a decade old, book it before winter rather than after something goes wrong.
My heater is running but the house is not warming up. What now?
Common causes are a failing fan, a blocked return air filter, ducting that has come apart in the roof, or a burner not staying lit. None of those are dangerous in themselves, but a system running constantly without reaching temperature wastes a lot of gas. Worth booking promptly rather than leaving it through winter.
How fast can you get to Geelong?
Our booking line runs 24 hours a day and we have technicians based locally rather than dispatched from Melbourne. Same day or first thing next morning is normal. If you are out toward Torquay, Lara or the Bellarine, mention it when you call so we send the closest technician.
What should I do while I wait?
Switch it off at the wall if it is smoking, sparking or leaking, and leave a tripped safety switch alone. Catch water with towels and a bucket. In the cold, close off unused rooms and block draughts, and do not run an unflued portable gas heater in a closed room. In the heat, close blinds early and use fans. Have brand, model and error code ready.
Does an emergency callout cost more?
You pay a fixed call-out fee covering travel, diagnosis and a full assessment of the fault, and you know the amount before we book you in. No hidden charges and no surprise bill. Parts and additional work are quoted in writing and approved by you first.
Which brands can you repair?
Brivis, Braemar, Bonaire, Rinnai, Vulcan, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, ActronAir, Panasonic, LG, Samsung and more. We hold authorised service agent status with the major manufacturers, so warranty work is done properly.

"Extremely helpful staff!!! My reverse cycle split system stopped working suddenly (of course when I needed it most), and the staff talked me through the process. They sent a technician the very next day. He was friendly, efficient, had extra parts on hand to fix the problem there and then, and didn't even leave a mess. Great value for money!"

"Joshua is an absolute credit to the company. He patiently explained the options and the fees upfront. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and informed me the repair was covered under warranty and that he wasn't an approved Panasonic repairer. His honesty saved me a significant amount of money in a voided warranty."

"I experienced a wonderful professional service from the company and the two technicians that installed my new system within several days. The time lag was mostly as a result of organising finances and reconciling details with my insurance company. I would not hesitate in recommending Quick Air to anyone."

"I couldn't choose quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, or punctuality as my most liked thing about Quick Air. I cannot give a negative answer on any of them as all my expectations were met. The technician was most knowledgeable and the patience and guidance given to his apprentice was outstanding. I will recommend this company to my friends without any hesitation."
