Does a split system heat as well as cool?
Almost all modern split systems are reverse cycle, which means the one unit both cools in summer and heats in winter. You switch between the two on the remote. Reverse cycle heating is one of the cheapest and most efficient ways to warm a room, which is why a split system is such a popular all-year choice. If you are unsure whether yours is a cooling-only or reverse cycle model, the technician can confirm it during a service.
How often should I service my split system?
We recommend a service every year, and at minimum every two years. A split system pulls the air of the room through its filters and coil constantly, so dust builds up, drains block, and refrigerant performance drifts over time. An annual service keeps it reaching temperature quickly, running quietly, and using less power, and the best time to book is just before summer or winter so it is ready before the first hot or cold snap.
My split system is blowing warm air or leaking water. Can you come out today?

Warm air often points to a refrigerant or compressor issue, and water dripping from the indoor unit usually means a blocked condensation drain, and the technician will diagnose it on-site and explain what is needed. Should I repair or replace my split system?
