Vulcan built its name on gas heaters and evaporative coolers that were made to last, and plenty of Australian homes are still running them decades later. Keeping one of those systems safe, efficient and reliable takes a technician who knows the brand. That is where QuickAir comes in.
We install, service and repair Vulcan heating and cooling across the country, with fully licensed technicians and one fixed price quoted before we arrive. Whether your Vulcan ducted heater needs its winter service or a wall furnace has stopped firing on the first cold morning, we can usually be there the same day or the next.
Every QuickAir technician is fully licensed, insured and background checked, and trained to work on Vulcan gas heating and evaporative cooling. Older Vulcan units need a careful hand and a proper safety check, especially the gas ones. We do the job right the first time and back it with our 100% workmanship guarantee.
When a Vulcan heater cuts out on a cold morning, you do not want to wait a week for a callback. Our booking team is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we can usually get a technician to you the same day or the next morning. Book online or call us and we will lock in a time on the spot.
We have licensed technicians based in every capital city and across most regional areas, so wherever your Vulcan system is installed, someone local can reach you quickly. Same fixed price, same standard of work, no matter where you are.
Vulcan Air Conditioning
Vulcan has been a fixture in Australian homes for more than 60 years, best known for tough gas ducted heaters, gas wall furnaces and evaporative coolers built to handle our climate. Many of these systems are still going strong long after they were installed, which is a fair sign of how well they were made. If you have a Vulcan system, QuickAir can install, service or repair it with technicians who know the brand. Here is a quick look at the Vulcan systems we work on most.
Vulcan Gas Ducted Heating
Vulcan ducted gas heating warms your whole home through a network of vents, holding every room at a steady, comfortable temperature. Models like the MB series and the Ilec range were built for efficient, whole-of-home warmth. We service, repair and replace them, and we carbon monoxide test every gas heater as standard.
Vulcan Gas Wall
Furnaces
Vulcan wall furnaces are a common sight in older homes, heating a room directly and sometimes an adjoining room through a rear register. They are reliable units, but the burner and flue need regular checking for safety. We service and repair them and flag any parts that need attention before they turn into a bigger problem.
Vulcan Evaporative Cooling
Vulcan evaporative cooling draws fresh air through water-cooled pads and pushes cool air through your ceiling vents, a cost-effective way to beat the heat in drier climates. We service and repair Vulcan evaporative units to keep airflow strong and running costs low through summer.
Vulcan Gas Heating: Built Tough, Worth Looking After
If your home came with a Vulcan gas heater, there is a good chance it has been quietly doing its job for twenty years or more. Vulcan earned a strong reputation for solid, well-made gas ducted heaters and wall furnaces, and many are still running efficiently with the right care.
The key word is care. Gas heating needs regular servicing to stay safe and efficient, and that goes double for older units. A tired burner, a cracked heat exchanger or a blocked flue can let carbon monoxide into your home with no smell and no warning. Every QuickAir gas heater service includes a carbon monoxide test as standard, so you are not just getting warmth, you are getting peace of mind.
When a Vulcan heater does need work, we will always give you an honest answer on whether it is worth repairing or whether a replacement makes more sense. Plenty of parts for Vulcan and Bonaire Vulcan systems are still available, so a repair is often the smarter option. If it is not, we will tell you straight.
Vulcan Evaporative Cooling: Efficient Comfort Through Summer
Vulcan evaporative cooling is a genuinely economical way to keep a home comfortable, especially in Australia’s drier regions. Instead of refrigerant, it uses water and airflow to cool the air, which means lower running costs than refrigerated systems on the right kind of day.
Like any cooling system, an evaporative unit performs best when it is looked after. Pads wear, water systems need flushing, and airflow drops off if the unit has sat idle over winter. A pre-summer service gets it clean, checked and ready before the first hot day lands.
If your Vulcan cooler has stopped working or is not cooling like it used to, we can diagnose it on-site and, in most cases, carry the parts to fix it in the same visit.

Do you still service and repair old Vulcan heaters?
Yes. Vulcan stopped manufacturing new heating systems some years back, but the units were built to last and many are still running well. We service and repair Vulcan gas ducted heaters, wall furnaces and evaporative coolers, and replacement parts are still available for a lot of models.
Is my old Vulcan gas heater still safe to use?
It can be, but the only way to know is to have it tested. Older gas heaters can develop faults in the burner, heat exchanger or flue that release carbon monoxide, which is odourless and invisible. We carbon monoxide test every gas heater as standard during a service, and you can also book a standalone test if that is all you need.
Should I repair my Vulcan or replace it?
We will give you an honest answer once we have seen it. If the repair cost is close to or more than a replacement, we will tell you and provide a quote for a new system, with no pressure either way. If a repair makes more sense, that is what we will recommend. And if you do replace, your initial booking fee is credited toward the new installation.
How often should a Vulcan system be serviced?
We recommend servicing gas heaters at least every two years, along with a carbon monoxide test, and servicing evaporative coolers before each summer. Older Vulcan units in particular benefit from a yearly check to catch small issues early and keep running costs down.
How quickly can you come out?
In most cases, same day or the next morning. Our booking team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we have licensed technicians across every capital city and most regional areas. Call 1300 730 896 or book online and we will confirm a time.
