Commercial HVAC Services in Sydney CBD
Licensed technicians working across Sydney CBD towers, retail floors and hospitality venues. Fixed pricing approved before we attend, after-hours access arranged with building management, and service reports your finance and compliance teams can actually use.
A tenancy sitting at 27 degrees in a George Street tower is not a comfort problem. It is staff going home early, a client meeting moved, a strata manager fielding calls, and a building manager asking who is attending and when. In the CBD the cost of a failed system is measured in trading hours, not in the price of the part.
QuickAir did not begin as a consumer brand. We were set up to provide national in-field technical support for Australia’s second-largest telecommunications company, which needed an Australian owned provider able to put a qualified technician on any site in the country at short notice. Two of Australia’s largest insurance groups followed, using our assessments and written reports to verify claims. Homeowners came later, around 2015. Commercial work is where this business started.
For a Sydney CBD site that means licensed technicians already working in the city grid, one operating centre handling booking, dispatch and job tracking, and an in-house compliance team keeping every technician current on ARC refrigerant and NSW electrical licensing. We work around dock bookings, lift access windows and after-hours restrictions because CBD buildings run that way and always have.
Sydney CBD Businesses We Look After
A ceiling cassette above a quiet legal office and a rooftop package unit working over a Pitt Street kitchen twelve hours a day are two different jobs. Sydney CBD packs both into a few square kilometres, along with heritage floors, base building plant and tenancies where the system was never designed for the number of people now sitting under it.
We regularly provide commercial HVAC services for:
- Office buildings and professional workplaces
- Retail stores and shopping centers
- Restaurants and food service establishments
- Medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Schools and educational buildings
- Churches and places of worship
- Warehouses and light industrial facilities
- Property management companies
- Multi-tenant commercial properties
- Hospitality businesses, including hotels and lodging facilities
What We Do for Sydney CBD Sites
Your heating and cooling should be the thing nobody in the business thinks about. We service, repair, install and maintain commercial air conditioning across rooftop package units, ducted and multi-split systems, ceiling cassettes, reverse cycle, gas and hydronic heating. The equipment is rarely the hard part in the city. Access, permits, trading hours and proper documentation usually are, and that is what our operating centre exists to sort out.
Commercial Air Conditioning Repair in Sydney CBD
A licensed technician attends, diagnoses the fault on site and explains it in plain terms. Our technicians carry common spare parts, so a good share of faults are finished on the first visit. Where a part has to be ordered or the scope grows, you get a written quote before anything proceeds. We repair compressors, motors, controllers, electrical faults, refrigerant leaks and airflow problems across every major brand found in city towers.
Commercial HVAC Installation and Replacement
Replacing plant in a CBD building is a logistics exercise first. We assess the tenancy, how the floor is actually used and what the system has to deliver, then quote in writing with the options set out, including crane or lift access and out of hours install where the building requires it. You also get the honest version of repair versus replace. If your existing unit has years left, we will say so.
Planned Commercial HVAC Maintenance
Most CBD breakdowns are maintenance that never got scheduled. Systems running long hours under full occupancy degrade faster than domestic ones, and they fail in February when the building is full. A planned schedule keeps filters, coils, refrigerant charge, electrical connections and airflow where they should be. Every visit is documented, so you hold the service history for compliance, budgeting and warranty rather than a docket in a drawer.
Why Sydney CBD Businesses Use Us
Plenty of contractors work well in one part of Sydney. That holds up until you have a fault in the city on a Friday afternoon, three tenancies in two states, or a building manager who wants an insurer-grade report before anyone touches the plant.
Built on enterprise work. Over a decade servicing a national telco and two of Australia’s largest insurance groups, to standards those clients audit rather than take on trust.
One contact, national coverage. Centralised booking and dispatch with 350+ locally based technicians, so you are not chasing separate contractors for your Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane sites.
Documentation that stands up. Written quotes, professional invoices and service reports built to the standard major insurers rely on when verifying a claim.
Built for occupied buildings. Our technicians work in city offices, clinics and retail floors daily, are police checked where a site requires it, and can attend outside trading hours.
Fixed, approved pricing. You know the cost before we attend, and anything outside the agreed scope is quoted and approved by you first.
Get Your Sydney CBD Site Covered
Your air conditioning should run quietly in the background while you get on with trading. Tell us about the tenancy or the portfolio, and we will scope it, quote it in writing and put a licensed technician in front of it. Call 1300 730 896 or request a callback.

How often should a commercial system in a Sydney CBD building be serviced?
Twice a year suits most city tenancies, and more often for plant running long hours or sitting above a commercial kitchen. CBD equipment works far harder than a domestic unit because the occupancy load is constant through the working day. A scheduled visit costs a fraction of an unplanned failure during trading, and it leaves you with a documented history for warranty and building compliance.
Can you work outside business hours in a city tower?
Yes. Most CBD work we do is booked around the building rather than around us, which means early mornings, evenings or weekends where the tenancy cannot be disrupted. Tell us the access rules, the dock booking process and any induction the building requires, and our operating centre will schedule it in and confirm the window with you in writing.
Our office is cold at one end and hot at the other. Is that fixable?
Usually, yes. Uneven temperature across a floor is normally zoning, damper faults, a controller problem, blocked returns, or a fitout that changed the layout without anyone revisiting the ductwork. A technician can measure airflow at the diffusers and identify which of those it is, then quote the fix rather than guessing at it.
How long does a commercial air conditioner last?
Typically 15 to 20 years, though run hours and maintenance history matter more than age alone. Well serviced plant regularly outlasts neglected plant by years. When yours is nearing the end we will tell you plainly whether another repair is worth the money or whether replacement is the better spend, and quote either way with no pressure.
Do you service older plant in heritage CBD buildings?
Yes. We work on current and older equipment across all major brands, and where a part is no longer made we will look at what can be sourced before writing the unit off. Heritage buildings often have limited plant space and awkward access, which we account for at the quoting stage rather than discovering on the day.
Do you cover sites outside the Sydney CBD?
Yes. We have technicians across greater Sydney, regional New South Wales and every other capital city. If you run sites in more than one city, you deal with the same point of contact for all of them rather than a different contractor in each state.

"Extremely helpful staff!!! My reverse cycle split system stopped working suddenly (of course when I needed it most), and the staff talked me through the process. They sent a technician the very next day. He was friendly, efficient, had extra parts on hand to fix the problem there and then, and didn't even leave a mess. Great value for money!"

"Joshua is an absolute credit to the company. He patiently explained the options and the fees upfront. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and informed me the repair was covered under warranty and that he wasn't an approved Panasonic repairer. His honesty saved me a significant amount of money in a voided warranty."

"I experienced a wonderful professional service from the company and the two technicians that installed my new system within several days. The time lag was mostly as a result of organising finances and reconciling details with my insurance company. I would not hesitate in recommending Quick Air to anyone."

"I couldn't choose quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, or punctuality as my most liked thing about Quick Air. I cannot give a negative answer on any of them as all my expectations were met. The technician was most knowledgeable and the patience and guidance given to his apprentice was outstanding. I will recommend this company to my friends without any hesitation."
