Commercial HVAC Services in Canberra CBD
Licensed technicians across Canberra CBD office tenancies, retail and hospitality. Fixed pricing agreed before we attend, after-hours access arranged, and documentation your procurement and compliance teams can work with.
Canberra puts commercial equipment through the widest range in the country. Sub zero mornings in July, high thirties in January, and offices that need to stay comfortable through both. A heating failure here is not a minor inconvenience. It is a workplace with staff in coats and a building manager fielding calls before nine o’clock.
QuickAir was built on commercial work. We were formed to provide national in-field technical support for Australia’s second-largest telecommunications company, which needed an Australian owned provider able to send a licensed technician to any site in the country, reliably and at scale. Two of Australia’s largest insurance groups followed, relying on our written reports to assess claims. Residential came later, around 2015.
In Canberra that means technicians based in the ACT, one operating centre handling booking, dispatch and job tracking, and an in-house compliance team keeping every technician current on refrigerant handling and ACT electrical licensing, along with police checks where a site requires them. One tenancy or a portfolio, it is one contact and one standard.
Canberra CBD Businesses We Serve
The city centre holds government and corporate office tenancies, professional services, retail through the malls and centres, restaurants and cafes, hotels, medical suites and education sites. Most of it runs plant that has to deliver serious heating in winter and full cooling in summer, which is a heavier annual workload than in most Australian cities.
We regularly provide commercial HVAC services for:
- Office buildings and professional workplaces
- Retail stores and shopping centers
- Restaurants and food service establishments
- Medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Schools and educational buildings
- Churches and places of worship
- Warehouses and light industrial facilities
- Property management companies
- Multi-tenant commercial properties
- Hospitality businesses, including hotels and lodging facilities
What We Do for Canberra CBD Sites
We service, repair, install and maintain commercial heating and cooling, including rooftop package units, ducted and multi-split systems, ceiling cassettes, reverse cycle, gas and hydronic heating. Heating matters here as much as cooling, and gas and hydronic systems are common in Canberra’s commercial stock, so both get proper attention rather than a quick look.
Commercial Air Conditioning Repair in Canberra CBD
A licensed technician attends, diagnoses the fault on site and explains it in plain terms. Common spare parts are carried, so a good share of faults are completed on the first visit. Where a part must be ordered or the scope grows, you get a written quote before anything proceeds. We repair compressors, motors, controllers, electrical faults, refrigerant leaks and airflow problems across all major brands.
Commercial HVAC Installation and Replacement
Replacing plant in a Canberra office means specifying for both extremes, not just the summer peak. We assess the tenancy, the load, the access route and the building rules, then quote in writing with the options set out, including out of hours installation where needed. You also get an honest position on repair versus replace, with the numbers laid out either way.
Commercial Maintenance and Servicing
Two services a year is the minimum here because the equipment has two full seasons of work. The pre winter visit covers heating components, gas safety checks where applicable and electrical connections. The pre summer visit covers coils, refrigerant charge and airflow. Every visit is documented, which matters if your organisation reports on maintenance or has procurement obligations to satisfy.
Why Canberra Businesses Use QuickAir
Canberra organisations tend to need more than a competent technician. They need current licensing, insurance, police checks where relevant and documentation that survives an audit, which is exactly what our enterprise clients required before we ever worked for a single homeowner.
Enterprise background. Over a decade servicing a national telco and two of Australia’s largest insurance groups, to standards those clients audit rather than assume.
Compliance handled in-house. Licensing, insurance and police checks are maintained by our own compliance team, not left to individual contractors.
Documentation that stands up. Written quotes, professional invoices and service reports built to insurer standards and suitable for procurement records.
One contact, national coverage. Centralised booking and dispatch with 350+ locally based licensed technicians behind it.
Fixed, approved pricing. The cost is agreed before we attend, and nothing outside that scope proceeds without your approval.

How often should commercial systems be serviced in Canberra?
Twice a year at minimum, before winter and before summer, because the equipment carries two full seasons of work rather than one. The pre winter service is the one most commonly skipped and the one most likely to cause problems, since heating faults tend to show up on the first genuinely cold morning when everyone needs it at once.
Do you work on gas and hydronic heating?
Yes. Both are common in Canberra’s commercial buildings and both are regular work for our technicians. Gas appliances also need proper safety checks as part of servicing, which matters more here than in warmer cities simply because the systems run for so much of the year.
Can your technicians meet our site access and compliance requirements?
In most cases yes. Every technician is licensed, insured and background checked, with police checks in place where a site requires them, all maintained by our in-house compliance team. Tell us the specific requirements at booking and we will confirm what we can meet before anyone attends rather than at the door.
Our office is cold at one end in winter. What causes that?
Usually zoning, damper faults, controller settings or blocked returns, and often a fitout that changed the floor layout without the ductwork being reviewed. Heat loss through large glazed areas is another common contributor in Canberra buildings. A technician can measure the airflow and temperatures and identify which factor is responsible.
Can you attend outside business hours?
Yes. Evening, early morning and weekend attendance is standard where a tenancy cannot be disrupted. Let us know the building access process and any induction requirements at booking and our operating centre will schedule the window and confirm it with you in writing.
Do you cover Queanbeyan and the surrounding region?
Yes. The ACT, Queanbeyan and surrounding regional New South Wales are covered, along with every capital city and most regional areas nationally. Portfolios spanning several regions run through one contact and one reporting format.

"Extremely helpful staff!!! My reverse cycle split system stopped working suddenly (of course when I needed it most), and the staff talked me through the process. They sent a technician the very next day. He was friendly, efficient, had extra parts on hand to fix the problem there and then, and didn't even leave a mess. Great value for money!"

"Joshua is an absolute credit to the company. He patiently explained the options and the fees upfront. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and informed me the repair was covered under warranty and that he wasn't an approved Panasonic repairer. His honesty saved me a significant amount of money in a voided warranty."

"I experienced a wonderful professional service from the company and the two technicians that installed my new system within several days. The time lag was mostly as a result of organising finances and reconciling details with my insurance company. I would not hesitate in recommending Quick Air to anyone."

"I couldn't choose quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, or punctuality as my most liked thing about Quick Air. I cannot give a negative answer on any of them as all my expectations were met. The technician was most knowledgeable and the patience and guidance given to his apprentice was outstanding. I will recommend this company to my friends without any hesitation."
