Commercial HVAC Services in Footscray
Licensed technicians across Footscray food businesses, warehouses, retail and offices. Fixed pricing agreed before we attend, work booked around trading, and documented service reports every visit.
A failed system in a food business is a different problem to a failed system in an office. Product is at risk, the kitchen is already hot, and closing for the afternoon is not a realistic option. Footscray runs on exactly those kinds of businesses, often in older buildings where the equipment has been retrofitted more than once.
QuickAir was a commercial operation before it was a consumer brand. We were formed to provide national in-field technical support for Australia’s second-largest telecommunications company, which needed an Australian owned provider capable of putting a licensed technician on any site in the country. Two of Australia’s largest insurance groups followed, relying on our reports to assess HVAC claims. Homeowners came later, around 2015.
In Footscray that means technicians based across Melbourne’s inner west, one operating centre handling booking, dispatch and job tracking, and an in-house compliance team keeping refrigerant and Victorian electrical licensing current. Whether it is one shopfront or a group of sites across the city, you get one number and the same standard of work.
Footscray Businesses We Serve
The inner west has an unusual commercial mix. Food retail, grocers, restaurants and cafes around the market precinct, warehouses and light industrial along the river and rail corridors, converted warehouse offices, education and community facilities, medical suites and gyms. The equipment ranges from new multi-splits to packaged units that have been running for two decades.
We regularly provide commercial HVAC services for:
- Office buildings and professional workplaces
- Retail stores and shopping centers
- Restaurants and food service establishments
- Medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Schools and educational buildings
- Churches and places of worship
- Warehouses and light industrial facilities
- Property management companies
- Multi-tenant commercial properties
- Hospitality businesses, including hotels and lodging facilities
What We Do for Footscray Commercial Sites
We service, repair, install and maintain commercial heating and cooling, covering rooftop package units, ducted and multi-split systems, ceiling cassettes, reverse cycle, gas and hydronic heating. In converted buildings the challenge is usually that the system was designed for a previous use. We assess what the space needs now rather than what it needed when the plant was installed.
Commercial Aircon Repair in Footscray
A licensed technician attends, diagnoses the fault and explains it in plain terms so you can decide quickly. Common spare parts are carried, so a good proportion of faults are finished on the first visit. Anything requiring an ordered part or extra scope is quoted in writing first. We repair compressors, motors, controllers, electrical faults, refrigerant leaks and airflow problems across all major brands.
Commercial Installation and Replacement
Older inner west buildings rarely make installation simple. Limited roof access, shared walls, heritage frontages and neighbouring residences all shape what can go where. We assess the site and the real load, then quote in writing with the options set out, including noise considerations. If the existing plant still has years in it, we will tell you that instead of quoting a replacement.
Planned Maintenance for Footscray Businesses
In food premises, maintenance is a hygiene matter as much as a performance one. Grease, dust and long trading hours foul filters and coils quickly, and drain trays that are not cleaned become a problem you can smell. A scheduled program covers filters, coils, refrigerant charge, drains, electrics and airflow, and every visit is documented for your compliance and warranty records.
Why Footscray Businesses Choose Us
Local operators can be excellent, but small businesses often find out the hard way that their contractor is booked out for a fortnight during the exact week the equipment fails.
Commercial background. Over a decade servicing a national telco and two of Australia’s largest insurance groups, to standards those clients audit.
Capacity behind the booking. 350+ licensed technicians based locally with centralised dispatch, rather than one operator’s calendar.
Documentation that stands up. Written quotes, professional invoices and service reports at the standard insurers accept.
Work around trading. Early mornings, quiet periods and after close are normal for us, with police checks where a site requires them.
Fixed pricing. You know the cost before we attend, and any additional work is quoted and approved by you first.

How often should a food business service its air conditioning?
Three to four times a year is realistic where there is a kitchen involved. Grease and heat foul filters and coils much faster than in a dry commercial space, and once airflow is restricted the system runs longer, costs more and fails sooner. Regular servicing also keeps drain trays clean, which matters for hygiene as well as performance.
Can you attend without shutting the shop?
Usually yes. We schedule work around trading, including early mornings and quieter periods. Where the job genuinely requires the system to be off for a stretch, we tell you at the quoting stage so you can choose the window that costs you the least, rather than finding out on the day.
Our building was a warehouse and the system cannot cope. Is that fixable?
Often, yes, but it starts with an honest assessment. Converted buildings frequently run equipment sized for a completely different use, with high ceilings, poor insulation and large glazed areas working against it. We measure the actual load and tell you whether the fix is zoning and servicing, additional capacity, or a full replacement.
Do you repair as well as replace?
Yes, and repair is usually the first conversation. Our technicians carry major spare parts so a lot of faults are finished on the spot. Replacement only comes up when the numbers genuinely favour it, and in that case we quote both so you can see the comparison rather than take our word for it.
Are your technicians licensed for both electrical and refrigerant work?
Yes. All work is carried out under our ARC refrigerant handling licence and the required state Registered Electrical Contractor licences, and every technician is insured and background checked. Our in-house compliance team keeps that current, which is the same requirement our enterprise clients apply before anyone attends their sites.
Do you cover other suburbs in the west?
Yes. Footscray, the inner west, greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and every other capital city are covered. If your business has sites in more than one area, they run through the same contact and the same reporting format.

"Extremely helpful staff!!! My reverse cycle split system stopped working suddenly (of course when I needed it most), and the staff talked me through the process. They sent a technician the very next day. He was friendly, efficient, had extra parts on hand to fix the problem there and then, and didn't even leave a mess. Great value for money!"

"Joshua is an absolute credit to the company. He patiently explained the options and the fees upfront. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and informed me the repair was covered under warranty and that he wasn't an approved Panasonic repairer. His honesty saved me a significant amount of money in a voided warranty."

"I experienced a wonderful professional service from the company and the two technicians that installed my new system within several days. The time lag was mostly as a result of organising finances and reconciling details with my insurance company. I would not hesitate in recommending Quick Air to anyone."

"I couldn't choose quality, value, professionalism, responsiveness, or punctuality as my most liked thing about Quick Air. I cannot give a negative answer on any of them as all my expectations were met. The technician was most knowledgeable and the patience and guidance given to his apprentice was outstanding. I will recommend this company to my friends without any hesitation."
